            White Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2023

La Châsse du Pape, a specialist in wines from
the southern Rhône Valley, offers a small range
                    covering the appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape,
Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Plan de Dieu and Côtes-du-Rhône.

Their viniculturist Pascale Abadie uses her
blends to showcase the expression of grape
varieties in the terroirs she selects, creating
       wines with well-sculpted personalities.
       Her white Châteauneuf-du-Pape draws on
the pebble and clay soils found towards the
east of the appellation. White Grenache
       provides roundness and intensity, Clairette
       complexity, Bourboulenc freshness, and
Roussanne texture and density to this
       new blend.
The result is a well-rounded, complex wine
with yellow fruit aromas and the toasted,
delicately vanilla notes of maturation in
barrels (eight months in new barrels for part
of the blend); the lingering finish offers up
       hugely seductive and flavoursome touches.
Bottled in late October 2024 – 4,000 bottles Pascale Abadie, La Châsse du Pape viniculturist
       produced.
