‘Héritage Parcellaire’
Appellation wines made from fresh plots at altitude.
Around the Languedoc mountains
In 1920, Robert’s father Francis Skalli founded the family
vineyard, kickstarting a winegrowing and winemaking
story that still retains the same values today: expertise
in Languedoc terroirs and grape varieties to create
exceptional, modern wines.
Made from Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée elevated plots
around the Languedoc mountains, the Héritage Parcellaire
wines offer up the freshness and minerality born of the
schist and limestone soils.
The reds are primarily Syrah, north-facing in cool soils, with
a touch of extremely ripe Grenache to provide softness.
The whites are dominated by Viognier and Grenache,
growing on hillsides with a northern aspect to reveal
their mineral character and fresh fruit. Pierre Bessonnet, agronomist and viniculturist:
‘I am committed to an in-depth knowledge of Languedoc’s vineyards,
paying attention to the region’s geoclimatic development. The quality of
the grapes in each plot is the focus of all my attentions, in order to achieve
authentic wines that showcase the appellation’s terroir as accurately as
possible: that is what makes us unique.’
