Every month, Elizabeth Spencer – a winery in Rutherford in Napa Valley
that was acquired in 2021 – offers courses for art and wine
enthusiasts that provide an opportunity to fire up their creativity.
Paper marbling course
Learn the ancient art of Italian paper marbling. You will create your
own personal design, inspired by a tasting of four wines.
Indigo dye
Surfing the ‘tie-dye’ wave from the hippy era with a modern twist, this
dying technique is born of authentic ancestral expertise. We explore
the traditional art of indigo dye, naturally enlivened with a tasting!
Pottery painting
Combining wine with pottery painting allows your imagination to
run wild: paint the item of your choice, which will be fired to round
off your masterpiece!
Macramé
Guided by Nimbus Arts and paired with Elizabeth Spencer wines,
create your very own macramé hanging plant holder. Learn the
basic knots then choose your plant.
Wood engraving
Learn wood engraving techniques and how to transfer ink designs to
create a unique piece; a moment of creativity enhanced by a tasting.
