NOUVELLES SPARKLING WINES
DE BOISSET
1ST SEMESTER
2024
New cuvée: L’Originale
Henri Maire launched Vin Fou (literally Mad Wine)
in Arbois (Jura) in 1951. This sparkling wine was a wild
success! It still sparkles seventy-three years later!
The bottle has retained much of the original
design, with the fool (le fou) drawn by the
renowned artist Paul Grimaud, as well as
the medieval typography. But what’s most
important is the original recipe, which has
survived the years.
The original recipe, low in alcohol, rich
in flavour!
A blend of several 100% French grape varieties
that create a distinctive cuvée. Produced
using complementary elaboration methods
(a well-kept secret), the final touch, dosage
after disgorging, confers the unique character
of the recipe of a wine that is only 10° proof. A
fresh, thirst-quenching wine with fine bubbles.
Tasting notes
Fine bubbles, light sparkling. Fresh nose with lemony,
citrus notes. Very light, slightly spicy body, pleasantly
indulgent.
Service: This extremely convivial wine is ideal for all festive
occasions. Best served chilled, between 4° C and 6° C.
Tasting idea: On its own or as part of a cocktail, or with
red fruit for something even more original! ‘FOU’ isn’t it!
Dosage achieved using only natural sugars from the
grapes of one of the varietals.
