Takes us back in time...

Well before the Appellations
d’Origine came into existence,
when Burgundy used to «mousse»
its wines, Bouchard Aîné & Fils
offered a sparkling wine aboard
the Normandy ocean liner!
This cuvée has been elaborated
using a natural fermentation
method in closed thermo-regulated
tanks. Similar to the Maison’s finest
white wines, Brut de Chardonnay
has benefited from maturation
on fine lees, stirred daily during
the second fermentation process
known as the «prise de mousse».
The nose reveals floral, hazelnut
and almond aromas. The attack
is lively, fresh and delicate
with hints of honey. An elegant
chardonnay with fine bubbles
and subtle woody notes.
