Bonpas means 700 years of history in a glass! today, a new chapter is beginning
in homage to the brotherhood of knights, with the organic Côtes-du-rhône Villages
Visan Commanderie de Bonpas.
one wine, one history; that is the motto of this venerable wine house which
produces 14 appellations from the southern rhone Valley. each wine has a link
to a chapter in the history of the Chartreuse de Bonpas, an historical monument
dating back to 1318.
Bonpas reflects the sun-drenched style of the southern rhone. Here, Grenache noir
is king, and finds full expression as part of a blend with other regional varietals:
Syrah, mourvèdre, and Carignan. the wines stand out for their powerful fruit, their
concentration and richness in the mouth, and their smooth tannins.

the power of fruit ripened in the Provençal sun and the elegance of
a sunset over the Durance river sum up this wine, which is a blend
of Vermentino, ugni, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette – varietals that
flourish on the rich, complex soils of the land of aigues.
a delightful wine with notes of apricot and peach, underscored by a
crispness that will light up any aperitif or cold buffet.
