Gaïa de Fortant, second vintage

For its second vintage, the five wines in the Gaïa range are reaffirming their affinity with vegetarian cuisine. These organic wines also have a new simple label reflecting their natural character marked by their varietals and terroir over a delicate, crisp structure.

The reds are smooth and generous, with subtle tannins.

The whites are taut and floral.

The rosé is indulgent and delicate.

GAÏA de Fortant IGP Pays d’Oc 2017 white.

A blend of Viognier and Chardonnay, with a rich bouquet of pêche de vigne and acacia, a generous, floral mouthful with exotic flavors and an indulgent finish.

 

GAÏA de Fortant Coteaux d’Aix en Provence 2017 white.

A blend of Vermentino and Grenache Blanc, the nose is bursting with mandarin and lime blossom, with floral and citrus flavors and a long finish.

GAÏA de Fortant IGP Pays d’Oc 2017 red.

A blend of Grenache, Merlot and Mourvèdre, the nose has hints of redcurrant jelly and thyme blossom. Rounded and tempting, the mouth offers flavors of red berries and rosemary.

 

GAÏA de Fortant Saint Chinian 2017 red.

A blend of Syrah and Grenache, blueberries and strawberries abound on the nose over a touch of licorice. Full and complex, with intense chocolatey flavors of dark berries, and a sustained finish.

 

GAÏA de Fortant 2018 IGP Pays d’Oc rosé.

100% Syrah. With its rose-petal hue, this wine offers redcurrant and thyme aromas, and is delicate in the mouth with notes of citrus and red berries.
