14/10 - The Maison Jean-Claude Boisset hosts the World Tasting Championships 2017 ; And the Swedes scoop the prize !
On 14 October, the Maison Jean-Claude Boisset played host to the prestigious World Tasting Championships 2017 in partnership with the Revue du Vin de France.
The Burgundy region was where the best palates would face off in the fifth edition of this unique international event. The teams hailed from 24 countries to face the challenge of blind-tasting 12 bottles to identify their varietal, country of origin, appellation, producer, and vintage. Among the wines was a Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin 2015 from Jean-Claude Boisset.
An Australian crew recorded the event for a film exploring the amazing history of the Zimbabwe team, which will enjoy a theatrical release.
But it was the team from Sweden that won the day and some beautiful bottles signed by Jean-Claude Boisset. The five team members and their coach celebrated their victory at this highly-convivial event with a gala dinner laid on by the Maison Jean-Claude Boisset at the Hospices de Beaune.
