The Russian River Valley appellation was established in 1983. The application was put forward by Christine DeLoach and the region’s winegrowers at the time. A first in the world of Californian wines.
Some 40 years later, the appellation extends over 67 hectares and its vineyards are renowned for the excellence of their wines.
Ever the pioneer, DeLoach was the first estate to mention the Russian River Valley appellation on its labels, to plant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and, above all, to receive the organic certification followed by Demeter for biodynamic viticulture.
