The harvests

The freshness of the musts and good acidity bode well for what should be a very fine vintage. Nature has crafted this wine, as she does every year, influenced by variations in the weather and the tireless work of the wine-growers, which continued despite the challenges posed by the public health situation.
24th August: the first grapes arrive in the vats in absolutely perfect health.
12th September: the harvest ends.

Initial tastings

‘Excellent phenolic ripeness. The freshness of the musts and good acidity bode well for what should be a very fine vintage. Yields were not always what we hoped for, varying widely from plot to plot. Alcoholic fermentation proceeded flawlessly, opening the door to good aromatic concentration and a nice balance of sugar and acidity for the red wines (Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pernand-Vergelesses …). As for the white wines (Bourgogne chardonnay Vieilles Vignes, Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon …) they’ve got lots of freshness and aromatic intensity. After a month of vatting, the wines are now in the cellar. The maturing process has only just begun!’
