Bouachon Le Pavillon

The Bouachon wine house a been in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1898. Visitors to the Pavillon can choose from eight tastings, from sensorial discoveries to food-and-wine pairings, divided into four wine-themed tasting and four gourmet experiences, with something adapted for every budget and visitor schedule.

This original offering has been awarded the Rendez-vous Terroir label by Inter Rhône, the Rhone Valley winegrowers’ union. The label recognizes the quality of the visitor experience and the welcome offered to tourists. This is a major distinction for wine tourism professionals and comes in the shape of a golden leaf displayed at the entrance to the site.

The Pavillon’s sommelier-advisors are present at all tastings and workshops, including the tour of the ageing cellars which have been beautifully renovated to help guests better understand how a wine comes to be.

Discovering Rhone Valley crus
A comparison of single varietal wines made from Syrah or Viognier with blends including Grenache-Syrah and Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre. This exploration of terroir, soil, climats, and varietals helps visitors appreciate the diversity of Rhone Valley wines and includes a tasting of five crus.(90’)

Wines and aromas, Wines and chocolate, Wines and cheese, Wines and blending: These 90’ workshops are offered year-round and offer a sensorial exploration of the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in groups of 2-10 to ensure and intimate event. Practical exercises will open the palate, the memory, and the mood, for an in-depth and sensory experience.
