A new vintage for La Vallée du Serein

La Vallée du Serein 2008 is part of the Grands Terroirs collection from Louis Bouillot, an exclusive range that focuses on the expression of the wine’s origin. This Blanc de Blancs extra-brut, with just 1,902 bottles produced, expresses the personality of the Chablis winegrowing region in a sparkling wine without artifice.

 

Following on from the 2007 vintage, the 2008 reveals a powerful personality, underscored by more than eight years of ageing. 2008 may have been a year of extreme weather, but this allowed us to preserve all the potential tension of the harvest.

 

This 100% Chardonnay wine is mineral and powerful, with a complex bouquet. It is lively and indulgent in the mouth, with empyreumatic notes recalling its ageing in oak, and has a long and tasty finish. La Vallée du Serein 2008 is a wine for keeping and a Crémant de Bourgogne with true character.
